Dec 07, 2011 Hannah’s friend came back to AWANA tonight. She might not be able to come every week but she will come when she can. Praise God and keep praying for this little friend of Hannah Roos who does not know Jesus.
Dec 07, 2011 Tonight at AWANA I had the privilege to answer many different apologetic questions with a 3rd grader.
In about a 10- 15 minute span he asked :
Was Jesus an angel like Satan had been an angel?
Do we reincarnate when we die?.
What is heaven like?
What if our enemies are in heaven, are they still our enemies?
Are you a Christian if all you do is read the Bible?
Are there 3 gods or just one?
How do you become a Christian?
I was able to answer his questions to his satisfaction, but let me tell you it stretched me greatly !! Only because God brought verses I had learned early on in my Christian walk to the forefront of my mind could I even attempt that rapid fire conversation! God’s word is alive and active. God is alive and active at AWANA . I love watching HIM work in the lives of the kids at AWANA!!
Dec 08, 2011 Three or Four Years ago one of the AWANA workers brought their neighbor boy to club. Two years ago that leader moved out of state, BUT the neighbor is now bringing the younger sibling AND friends to club! This family sees Plymouth Alliance Church as a safe place to leave their kids.
God is working and these kids are hearing about Jesus!
And it was all because someone from PAC was neighborly & extended an invitation.
Dec 16, 2011 This past AWANA there was a God sighting in a strange but cool way. One of the kids took anothers object as his own. When the real owner went to go home he realized that his toy was gone. He paniced and Julie W. said, with the dad standing there, “Let’s pray and ask God to help us find it”. After they prayed the child and parent started to go home. The child was very sad. But then one of the leaders saw one of the other kids had the toy and she knew what he had bought and it didn’t include this toy. So she confronted him and took the toy & gave it to the rightful owner. That child left so happy. Then the leader talked to the other child and talked about his behavior. I know this sounds like a bad thing BUT when we stand back and look at the situation from start to finish, God was working in the whole situation.
The leader knew what this one child bought and was sure about it was a God thing, so that later that night she could give the rightful owner his toy before the child & his dad left. Julie W. said “Let’s ask God to help us find it” was a God thing because it allowed the child to see God answers prayer and even the other leader’s faith was increased.
So as with Joseph – what was done for evil God meant for good. And the other boy hopefully has learned something too about grace & justice. Thank you Jesus for going before us and taking care of us without us even knowing.
Mar 14, 2012 God keeps showing up at AWANA!
Last week, one of the boys from Hannah Roos’ class accepted Christ.
Also, one of the girls from Hannah’s class wanted to accepted Christ but became afraid that she was going to change and she didn’t know what that would look like so it scared her and she didn’t make that step. But she really understands that when you accept Christ He comes in and changes you. Now she just needs to know that the change is good and it’s a change on the inside. We will keep talking and praying for her.
God is so awsome.
We keep praying for Nora to come back to AWANA. But if she can’t come to us we will send the kids to her in her own classroom. Praise God because He deserves to be Praised!
Aug 20, 2012 Reach Out Plymouth 2012 was awsome! It was amazing to hear the stroies of God’s people touching our community. We did a great thing as a local body coming together to touch our community for Christ. Next year, lets do an unstoppable thing and touch our community for Jesus with our Brothers and Sisters in the greater Body of Christ in Plymouth!

Tonight we had a God sighting at our house. It came in an unexpected way and on an unexpected evening. Tonight was our last night at AWANA. I was was expecting tonight to be a difficult night and was but it was different than I expected. All fall Hannah has been bringing friends to AWANA. Tonight as we came home we were talking about one of her friends who doesn’t know Jesus we also discussed the fact that this was probably the last night this little girl would be at AWANA since we would no longer be bringing her. At this point in our conversation Hannah began to weep. She was weeping because her friend didn’t know Jesus and Hannah knew that if her friend didn’t know Jesus she wouldn’t see her friend in heaven. I too weep for this little girl and I pray that the seeds planted in her heart at AWANA these past three weeks would take root and grow into a passionate relationship with Jesus. I also, rejoice that Hannah understands that people and their salvation is what is really important. To all the AWANA leaders, Sunday School teachers, and anyone else who invested their time and energy teaching our girls, Tony and I thank you. What you are doing is working and I believe a that a great harvest will be reaped because of what you do.
