Plymouth Alliance Church is passionate about impacting our community. One of the ways we do this together is through partnering with a local Plymouth elementary school—Parkview Elementary. By volunteering in a number of areas we seek to create a light-bearing influence that has an impact in the school environment. Through the relationships we build in the school and through ministering to felt needs of the family, we want people to know Jesus Christ.
There are many ways to serve—with children and teachers or something more behind-the-scenes. See a list of current specific needs below.
Upcoming 2017-18 Service Opportunities!
A new year means new opportunities. Listed below are specific needs that Parkview Elementary teachers have requested. Please consider choosing one for the 2017-18 school year! Contact Pastor Don if you are interested in serving.
It is the policy of the Plymouth School District to conduct criminal background checks on those volunteering within the School District. Please click and download this file and print it out. Fill in the information (all information is needed and will be kept confidential). Once it's filled out you can either take it to Parkview Elementary School office or you can bring it to church and we can deliver it to the school for you. Testimonies from our Volunteers
"I have loved interacting with students at Parkview! They are so full of love. It's a lot of fun getting to know the kids but also sad to hear about their family and the situation that some are in.There are times when you know that you and the teacher are the only ones loving on some of these kids. In Matthew 19:14 it says, Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
--Jeannie, 2nd grade volunteer
"I have loved getting to ‘play’ with the first graders at Parkview. Getting to know them and interacting with them and the teachers has been a blessing. I hope I have blessed them too."
--Bonnie, 1st grade volunteer
"The Parkview teacher I partner with has told me how kind, friendly, and caring the volunteers from Plymouth Alliance are and that they are different from others in the school. I was able to share my faith briefly, and invite this teacher to church. I continue to volunteer with this class and am asking God for more opportunities to share."
