When we dedicate our children to God we are not only committing them to God’s protection, care and direction, but we are also dedicating ourselves to God to raise them for Him. This means that we pledge to love them with Christ's love, teach them the Scriptures, teach them to read God's Word for themselves, to pray with them and for them, bringing them regularly to worship Christ in a Bible-teaching church, and surrounding them with friends who will reinforce God-honoring values. In short, we pledge to do all we can to bring them to that place where they will put their personal faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord."

At Plymouth Alliance Church, we recognize child dedication, which is different from the often traditional baptism of infants.
Child dedication is the act of parents publicly dedicating their child back to God and committing, with the help of the congregation, to raising their child to know and love God personally.

A dedication can be done at any time.
Often, families choose to do this shortly after the child is born; some choose to wait, or if you're new to faith in Jesus and have never made this dedication to God, we have even had family dedications of older children.
