Do you struggle with understanding what you read in the Bible? Do you wish you could have some tools for sorting out what God is saying as you read Scripture? While they are with us, Hannu and Jen have offered to teach a simplified course on the Inductive Bible Study Method.
This is a method of studying the Bible where readers set aside their own preconceived notions, slow down, and observe what the text is actually saying. We want the text to speak for itself and not impose our own ideas on the text, and to be curious as to what the text is saying. This study will teach and apply three core steps of inductive bible study: observation, interpretation, and application.
This is a scaled-down version of the course taught to all students who attend the YWAM center.
During the six weeks of this course, participants will learn and apply the inductive method to 5 or 6 short books of the New and Old Testaments.
Materials will be provided; bring your Bibles.
Open to anyone interested in studying the Bible.
This course will be available on Monday evenings, 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm OR Friday mornings, 8:30 am - 10:00 am.
The first class will begin on Monday, Oct. 20.
