Rooted Kids Volunteer Positions
Check-In Person
When: Sunday AM before 1st OR 2nd service (can be the service you typically attend)
Time Commitment: 15-20 min. before 1st service OR 15-20 min. before 2nd service
Frequency: Once or Twice a month, dependent on your availability
Prep: None.
Qualities/Abilities Needed: This person needs to generally know how to get around on a computer and have a warm and welcoming attitude as kids and families approach. An ability to remember names and faces is certainly a plus!
Training: To begin serving, this person would “shadow” an experienced check-in person for one or two times after they have been walked through the check-in procedure (we have a handout for you that explains the necessary steps).
Pre-school Sunday AM Helper
When: Sunday AM during 2nd service
Time Commitment: Class time (1 hr. and 15 min.)
Frequency: once or twice a month
Prep: Little to no prep, depending on what you have worked out with the main teacher in prepping crafts/snack. Read-through of the lesson beforehand strongly encouraged, but actual teaching is done by main teacher.
Qualities/Abilities Needed: A growing love for Jesus and a desire to help young kids in their understanding of who God is. As a Helper, you are there to connect with kids and assist the teacher in whatever he/she needs to help the lesson and class time run smoothly.
Training: Attendance at any teacher meetings is required (usually 2 per year).
