Church membership is an official way to declare your commitment to the church community, to be a part of helping it grow, thrive, and make wise decisions.

Membership at Plymouth Alliance Church is a two step process. 

Membership STEP 1
Do you want to know more about the Christian & Missionary Alliance or about becoming a member at Plymouth Alliance Church? Here is a quick outline of the topics covered in Membership Step 1:

Membership Step 1 is open for anyone who wants to attend and is primarily a deeper informational class about the church and the C&MA. Participation in Step 1 is a prerequisite for participating in Membership Step 2.  

Membership STEP 2
Here is a quick outline of what happens in Step 2:

1. Those interested in Step 2 are asked to sign up and are given three different reading assignments that are required before the second class. 
2. Class day of Step 2 covers some of the same material as Membership Step 1 but much more briefly.
   1. Introduction time.
   2. A look at the structure of the C&MA.
   3. A look at our involvement with the C&MA.
   4. Question and answer time.
3. Opportunity for membership is then offered. Those who don’t want to become members are invited to take home a Membership application and set up an interview.
4. Membership application and interview. Each member applicant is interviewed by a pair of Elders or Elder and Pastor – at a later scheduled appointment. Much of this interview involves sharing your testimony of how you came to know Christ.

Membership classes are held twice a year.  Our next classes will be held October 26, 2025 (Step-1) and November 9, 2025 (Step-2).
