Don served at Plymouth Alliance Church as Associate Pastor for 4 years (2015-19). He and his family have been called to be missionaries in Japan with our Denomination, the Christian and Missionary Alliance. They concluded their time here in Plymouth at the end of May 2019. Above and below are photos from their farewell parties and here's a link to their farewell video.

The Schaeffers have lived in their new Japan home since August and have raised all the money they need for their specific outfit fund! Don and Rachel are putting in long hours of intensive language training. They are starting to build relationships with their Japanese neighbors.
Prayer Points:
Language: Pray that they would be able to effectively retain all the Japanese, written and auditory, that they are learning.
Relationships: The Schaeffers have multiple opportunities to connect with their neighborhood throughout the week, during times such as garbage drop-off and trips to the park. Pray for good connections, trust building, and conversation.
